Itinerary

Morning: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains

Your Ouarzazate day trip from Marrakech begins early with pickup from your accommodation. Travel south toward the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying scenic stops along the winding road of Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 m)—the highest mountain pass in Morocco.

Midday: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah

Arrive at the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar made of clay and straw, recognized by UNESCO for its cultural importance. Enjoy free time to explore the ancient alleyways or join a local guide to learn about its history and film heritage (Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Lawrence of Arabia).

Afternoon: Ouarzazate

Continue to Ouarzazate, where you may visit the surroundings of the famous film studios or admire historic kasbahs such as Kasbah Taourirt (optional). After lunch at a local restaurant, begin the return journey to Marrakech.

Evening: Return to Marrakech

Arrive back in Marrakech in the early evening, with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s desert gateway.
